The bus tour through the township of Soweto was quite sobering. Housing ranged from the shack slums to the matchbook houses built by the government for the Soweto residents to the luxury homes of the rich and famous (where Nelson Mandela and Desmond Tutu live). The painted towers are left over cooling towers from a power plant that are now used for bungie jumping.
