Cape of Good Hope National Park- Saturday, October 17th
Cape of Good Hope
Another heaven on earth! This national park occupies the south western tip of Africa. Driving toward the park we saw baboons along the road. They are the equivalent of our pigeons and sea gulls and it is against the law to feed them. They have been known to harass tourists! Driving into the vast park, the ocean and mountain views are stunning. Ostriches and kudu graze along the ocean, well camouflaged eland graze in the distance, the Cape point lighthouse (at the south western tip of Africa) provides a stunning view. The flora are magnificent- wild protea flowers everywhere. Interesting lizards and beautiful red and orange lichens on the rocks. A gorgeous day!
